She introduced me to the British Crested World, and I was in my element!
She was shown, and to my great delight qualified for CRUFTS, two years running.
Then tragedy struck. Her Lenses Luxated, and she underwent horrendous surgery to remove both Lenses. Recovery was painful, leaving her with no focusing vision. Her life was a BLURR.
Thistle is strong, and brave, but as the years went by her limited vision deteriorated, and at eight years of age she developed GLAUCOMA in her worst eye, and this had to be removed.

At Christmas 2009, Thistle’s Kidneys failed, and after a brave fight she could cope no more, and was helped to rest on 2nd. January 2010, at 11.10 a.m.
My world was in pieces. The light had gone out of my life.
God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you and
whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes I watched you, and saw you
pass away. Although I loved you dearly, I could not make you stay. A
golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my
heart to prove to me, He only takes......... the BEST. .....anon.
